[LCC Announce] WANTED: Community Group Leaders With A Heart For People

Dear Lakeshore Family-

 

In mid September, we will begin Community Groups at Lakeshore.  These small groups of 5-15 people meet together in homes (and sometimes at church or other places) to connect with God and others in ways that Sunday or Midweek services simply do not allow.  People who have been in a Community Group often talk about the deeper relationships and closeness with God they feel.  Veteran group attendees would never think of NOT being in a Community Group.

 

As we prepare for Fall groups, we need more group leaders... especially (but not exclusively) men!  Our final Community Group Training is this Saturday from 8am -11:50am (with a free lunch at 11:20am).  Basic Training is for first-timers, Advanced for those who completed Basic and Alumni for those who have completed both (and Advanced Trainees only need to attend from 11:20-11:50am).  PLEASE NOTE THIS NEW ½ HOUR EARLIER TIME TO ACCOMMODATE THE MEMORIAL SERVICE OF OUR FELLOW CHRISTIAN LON THOMPSON.

 

Would you sign up for training and pray about leading a Community Group this September and October, just 4 weeks in length (though you can go longer)?  If you lead a group, we will provide you a FREE copy of the "Just Walk Across The Room" study guide and other materials.  BTW, they go on sale to the general public this Sunday.

 

Contact the church office ASAP (especially for BASIC as you need to do some pre-course work) and we'll see you Saturday.

 

I'm praying for 30 groups and if you have a heart for people and a willingness to be a LCC member, I hope you'll be in that number.
