[LCC Announce] Opportunities This Week At Lakeshore

Dear Lakeshore family-

 

This week, there are a few events I wanted you to be aware of that I
hope will encourage you and strengthen you.

 

At church on Sunday, we will begin sign ups for Fall Community Groups
that will kick off on Sunday, September 20.  I've been told that there
are 20 groups that are already available and I have been trusting God
for 30 groups in the coming weeks.  These groups will tie into our next
Sunday series, "Just Walk Across The Room" and also tie into our
Lakeshore Community Center Grand Opening.  How?  You'll find out as the
series unfolds.  

 

This series promises to do something so great in all of us.  I hope no
one will miss out on all God has for us each Sunday and at each
Community Group meeting.  Make sure you sign up for a group this Sunday
before they fill up.  And if you have taken CG training and want to lead
a group this Fall, be sure to complete your paperwork soon.

 

This Saturday at 11pm here at church we'll hold another baptism
celebration.  I hope you'll come to encourage those being baptized.  If
you do, I'm fairly confident that you'll really be the one that is
encouraged by what you see, hear and experience. 

 

Finally, this Thursday at 7pm is Common Ground Midweek service.  I'm
excited to be back teaching and to finish Hebrews 11, one of the great
chapters in the Bible focusing in on God's "Hall Of Faith".  Bring your
Bible and come hungry to learn and grow.  And you'll also delight in the
sheer pleasure of experiencing my new, colorful Hebrews 11 summary
chart.... or at least you'll get a copy of it and make a paper airplane
or some origami bird thing out of it.  Either way, it will move you.
