[LCC Announce] Cheer up!

Dear Lakeshore Family-

 

As I write this on Friday afternoon, we're just 14 days from Christmas.
Once Thanksgiving passes, I never feel anything other than surprised at
how quickly Christmas approaches.  The time always seems to fly by
during this time frame for me.   

 

This Sunday we begin our final series of 2009, "Cheer Up, It's
Christmas!"  Our goal is to encourage you with the miracle of Christmas
and for three weeks (and Christmas Eve), we'll do our best to provide
real Christmas cheer for your heart.  Hope to see you and a friend at
church Sunday.  And be sure to plan now to attend one of the two
Christmas Eve services.  We chose two times for the first time in our
history this year (4pm & 7pm) to handle the attendance and to help you
be able to attend one of these one-hour services.  If you have evening
plans, 4pm may work.  If you have things to do during the day, 7pm may
work.  These services are some of the most energizing of the year, just
because of the anticipation that fills the air.

 

Back to this Sunday, we'll be providing an update on the Lakeshore
Community Center (LC2) and the "Finishing The Work" campaign as we
celebrate the one year anniversary.  And we'll also announce the date
that we believe we'll be able to hold the LC2 Grand Opening.  It's
close!

 

Finally, I hope you will make the time to attend the final second
Saturday Synergy Prayer gathering from 9-10:30am tomorrow morning
(Saturday) in room 110.  For some of you, it will take the courage to
attend for the first time ever.  For others, it will take faith that God
will make up the time (and more) for you during these busy days when you
put Him first.  But I promise that we'll meet with God, and this may be
the very event that provides the most meaningful peace for you this
Christmas season.  Meeting in prayer to God with others has a way of
doing that.  And don't forget that we have child care for kids.
