Dear LCCers-

 

One other thing I forgot to mention is that a brand new class, NH220:
How To Study And Enjoy The Bible, is being offered on Saturday, January
16th from 9am - 2pm for the first time and we currently have 20 people
signed up for it.  We can register up to an absolute maximum of 40
people so there is still room for you (as of this writing).  The
remaining 20 slots are on a first come, first served basis.  We have to
close this at 40 people so if you want to attend this seminar, register
at church THIS SUNDAY.  Cost is $5 for official members, $10 for
attenders.  We'll overview every book of the Bible and teach you the "4
I's" of Bible Study.  It promises to be a great time and you WILL be
more confident in studying the Bible after you attend this hands-on
seminar.

Dear LCCers-

 

Happy New Year!  I hope you all enjoy your reflections on this past year
as it ends, and have some great plans and dreams for 2010 ahead.  Don't
forget to develop a game plan, determine an action plan, and dedicated
your plan to the Lord this year.  If you missed church last Sunday, I
encourage you to pick up the CD and get a plan together for 2010 based
on Joshua 1, one of my favorite chapters.  Remember that if you fail to
plan, you.... you know the rest.

 

This has been a really interesting year at Lakeshore.  We've seen some
good growth these past two months and Christmas Eve services were
breath-taking (and record-breaking in attendance).  The LC2 building
project dominated the year, and they can take a lot out us as a church,
but they promise so much by allowing us to have another means to
minister to people- from infants through adults.  So often, this mix of
emotions has taken me to really fun places and less than fun places...
all in the same day :-).  

 

But I am excited that on Sunday, January 10 we will be celebrating the
LC2 Grand Opening with you all at 12:45pm.  You will be receiving a
reminder postcard with details in the next few days.  We've invited some
dignitaries.  One very special one is "Super Dave Wright", the guy from
"Just Walk Across The Room" community group video fame who Bill Hybels
worked on for 8 years!  We had dinner 2 months ago and he says he hopes
to be able to make it.  Regardless, we've invited dignitaries and
Pastors from the area and NY State.  Hope to see you there for this
electric and historic experience.

 

Are you planning to join myself, Andy Mitchell and others in the "Bible
2010" experience.  Great feedback so far, and we'll have more details on
Sunday.  And if you're free on New Years Day at 10am, join me at Greece
Assembly Of God for the Town Of Greece New Year's Day prayer service.
