[LCC Announce] What Would Jesus Say To Us About... Last Sunday?

Dear LCC family-

Last Sunday, we began our LC2 Grand Opening series. Lots of work went
into the series, the advertising, the service itself. As a result, what
would Jesus say to us about... our efforts? Here are a few things he'd
likely say:

1) At least 19 first-time families have been our guest in the past
two weeks. Jesus would say, "Well done in reaching and welcoming new
guests!"

2) At least 4 people have made a first time faith-commitment to
Christ with others expressing their desire to know more about Christ.
Jesus would say, "Welcome into my family" and "Thank you, Lakeshore, for
being faithful in sharing the Good News!"

3) One welcome card said, "The brochure on my door step is why I am
here". Jesus would say, "Thanks to all those people who dropped off
brochures on door steps and/or sent them to friends, family and
coworkers."

4) For those on the LEAD Team who fasted and prayed at least one day
covering every day of the entire month of October in prayer for this
series and the LC2 completion, Jesus would say, "Thanks for seeking me
out, for sacrificing, and for caring for others."

5) For the money that the church spent for this advertising effort
(more than any other effort in our history), Jesus might say, "Your
financial priorities should always focus on reaching people for My
Name."

In response to last Sunday's service, what do you think He would say?
My hope is that He was well pleased with all we did.

I also hope that we served people like you with the words of Jesus
faithfully and lovingly. If you feel the same, why not bring friends to
church with you this Sunday when we look at "What Jesus Would Say To Us
About... The Current Recession?" I think you may be surprised by at
least one thing He would say to us. So invite people to meet you at
church, send out more brochures to friends and family, and keep praying
for the series and the LC2 construction completion.

LC2 Volunteer effort

Speaking of the volunteer effort, I hope you enjoyed the tours of the
LC2 we held after both services last Sunday (we're offering more after
both services this Sunday). We're moving along and getting closer to
moving in, but could really use volunteer help in the next few weeks.
We need help with some painting (wait until you see the new atrium paint
job!), ceiling grid, wood work (rough and finish), tile, wiring, vinyl
siding on the Multipurpose exterior, and lots of other stuff. If you
can help, call the church office or show up on Saturday. We hope to
have a LC2 Grand Opening in the next few weeks so your help is critical
to reach this goal. We'll also be working during the week. Again,
contact the church office for details.

Hope to see you tonight at Common Ground. It starts at 7pm with
Communion being served.

Warmly-

Vince
