[LCC Announce] What Would Jesus Say To Us About Terrorism?

Dear LCCers-

 

As we have looked at the infinitely wise words of Jesus on the subjects
of Government and the current recession, this Sunday we'll look at what
He would say to us about Terrorism.  With the Ft. Hood tragedy fresh on
our minds, we'll look at the thorny issues surrounding this tender
subject.  I hope you'll be there with a friend or two.

 

 

HELP THE LESS FORTUNATE THIS CHRISTMAS

On Sunday, we'll be collecting Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes for
children around the world so that they might experience the love of God
in Christ this Christmas.  I hope you'll be able to be a part of this
effort.  I'd love to see our church send over 300 boxes to children in
need.  And don't forget that the more boxes we stack on stage, the less
the chances you'll have to look at me :-).  We'll pray over the boxes at
the end of the services.  If you don't have a box label, you can print

And don't forget the other benevolence opportunities we have to donate
to; namely Mission Share Adopt A Family and Thanksgiving Harvest
Baskets.   

 

 

LC2 VOLUNTEER UPDATE

Things are moving along on the LC2 volunteer effort.  We still can use
plenty of help.  Contact the church office or just show up on Saturday
to help with ceiling grids and other efforts.

 

 

NEW GUESTS AT LCC

Thanks for doing all you're doing.  Special thanks to those of you who
have made the extra effort to drop off brochures on door steps, send
brochures with notes to friends you invited and anything else you did to
reach people.  We're drawing in many new families over the past three
weeks and you're a big reason why.  

 

And don't worry if people didn't show up. I sent out 18 brochures with
18 personal notes to my neighbors.  So far I am "0 for 18" on seeing any
of them at church, but they have been honking their horns to say hi as
they drive by my house... I think it's been to say hi?
