All-
This is a week I have dreamt about since I was a kid. It was a week I
never thought I'd see in my lifetime. I've waited for 43 years... 43
long, painful, grueling years for this week to come.
What am I talking about?
My kids aren't graduating from college (though my son just completed his
associates degree last month). And they aren't getting married either
(their mate would have had at least 15 interview weekends by now). The
Lakeshore Community Church 15th anniversary isn't until April 15, and my
25th wedding anniversary isn't until this August 31. And no, I'm not
moving to Florida quite yet... though I wouldn't mind being in South
Florida this Sunday.
Figured it out yet?
THE SAINTS ARE IN THE SUPER BOWL ON SUNDAY! God is truly a God of grace
and mercy! We hope to have some fun with this on Sunday so be ready to
fully obey the scriptures and "love the saints" :-). Oh, and we'll
wrap up our series with the final installment on "Wisdom and Wealth",
including prayer for people who need employment or are concerned about
their jobs. Great time to give your concerns to God.
A few other items:
1) The Haiti offering is growing and we're at about $12,000! If you
missed last Sunday, we will be supporting a family in Haiti for 6 months
with $6,000 of this total. We'll have more information in the weeks
ahead. Thanks for your incredible generosity.
2) The number of people who've taken the REVEAL Survey is growing
but we still need many more people to take it. This is the final week
so please take time now to complete it online at:

3) I hope to see you at Common Ground on Thursday at 7pm. Along
with great music and a time of communion, we will have one of the most
fascinating messages we've ever offered, "What Is The World Coming To?"
If you have ever wondered what the Bible says about the future, wrestled
with the difference between "the rapture" of the church and "the second
coming of Christ", or just wanted to know how things end on earth
according to the Bible, DO NOT MISS COMMON GROUND ON THURSDAY! And you
can ask questions afterward in our new Q&A format.
Have a great week. I hope to see you on Thursday and Sunday. And if
the Saints win on Sunday evening, please feel free to send gifts and
congratulatory cards to me.
"Who Dat. Who Dat. Who Dat Say Dey Gonna Beat Dem Saints? Who Dat!"
Geaux Saints!
Pastor Vince
