[LCC Announce] Father's Day

Lakeshore family-

 

I hope you're ready to celebrate Father's Day this weekend in style.  No
need for ties, golf balls or some other classic Dad's Day gifts.  What
we as fathers all want is more substantive than any of this... we want
to be loved and respected (having full authority over the remote control
for one day wouldn't be bad either but that's a bonus).  No matter your
approach, let's all show appreciation to our fathers, or to their memory
if you have lost yours.

 

This Sunday, we will wrap up our "text me" series and creatively honor
dads.  I hope you'll be there.  Why not invite a friend or your dad to
the service?  I think they'll really connect with the service that we've
planned, especially the drama and music package in the middle of the
service.

 

A few other items of interest:

 

1) Send your kids to Camp Burton!  To help, we are offering $50
scholarships to a select number of kids on a first come, first served
basis.  If you have an interest, please contact Pastor Cory Hunneyman
(Jr. and Sr. High) or Jill Freese (elementary grades) by THIS Sunday.

2) There are less than two weeks to register for the 2010 Global
Leadership Summit held here at Lakeshore live via satellite on
Thursday-Friday, August 5-6.  The early bird rate of $75 (for LCC
attendees only) is available until Tuesday, June 29.  You can register
via the church website using the LCC special code rate.  We also need
volunteers.  Find out more at the Summit table.

 

Tonight is our Common Ground Midweek service starting at 7pm.  Enjoy
some great music, a Mozambique mission trip update from Pastor Cory, and
our continuing study of the book of Revelation.  Tonight we take a
fascinating look at the final judgments before Christ's return as well
as the most challenging to interpret chapters in all of Revelation
focusing on mystery "Babylon".
