[LCC Announce] More painters at Lakeshore!

Dear LEAD Team-

 

The "What Color Is Your Paint?" Ministry Fair last Sunday was a big hit.
While the number of team "sign ups" are still being counted, I can tell
that this was a big success.  A few new things I noticed.  First, almost
no one left church after the services.  Whether that occurred just to
appease my request that no one leave right away or in genuine interest
remains to be seen.  I think it was the latter.  Second, this was the
first time we had all the room we needed to host the fair with the
expanded Atrium and the Multipurpose room.  Reason number 10 billion for
the need for the LC2 addition! :-)

 

Now the fun begins.  The key to getting "sign ups" to become "show ups"
and then ultimately "serve ups" is "follow up".  And the key to "follow
up" is to make sure that you help people get excited about how they can
fit in to your team ("vision") AND give them an easy opportunity to try
the team out ("first serve" opportunity).  If you do these two key
things, you'll net at least 25% - 40% of the people.

 

Please be faithful in following up.  Your workload will increase now,
but it will be less later if you push out today.  Thanks... I'm really
proud of you.

 

 

MINI MINISTRY FAIR SUNDAY

Since our Sunday attendance was down due to the time-change, we will
give people at church this Sunday another opportunity by holding a mini
Ministry Fair.  We will have 5 tables with all your ministry tri-folds
and sign up sheets on them in the atrium.  Teams will be grouped
together by affinity.  All we need is one person at each of the 5 tables
for both services.  We'll forward the new names to you next week.

 

 

EASTER: WHO ARE YOU BRINGING?

At our Synergy prayer time last Saturday, we prayed for Good Friday and
Easter services.  They are being planned now and I think that both will
help you experience the power of Holy Week.  But if at all possible,
don't come alone.  Begin praying now about asking a few people to join
you.  I think this series will make a big difference in how people see
themselves through God's eyes.  This Tuesday, mailers will begin
arriving at 53,000+ homes in Greece, Hilton and Spencerport.  Let's
trust God for a large crowd of people who need Jesus in their life.

 

 

LAKESHORE GENERAL INCOME UPDATE

So far this year, there have been so many positive trends: the LC2
completion, increased attendance on Sundays and Common Ground and the
like.  The one trend that is a growing concern is General Budget giving.
To date, we are down by about $20,000 which projects to about a $90,000
short-fall for the year if the trend were to stay the same.  What are
the reasons?  It could be the economy, new people not yet giving, lost
jobs, fear, or any number of things.  Regardless, let's all remember to
do our part in improving this situation by doing two things: 1) Praying
for God to help us, 2) Promoting biblical giving and tithing both
ourselves and by building that culture with people at Lakeshore in our
teams, meetings, gatherings, atrium conversations and the like.  Let's
trust God in this situation for a financial "turnaround".

Don't forget to be ready for a fun Saturday together for our second LEAD
Team Saturday event (9-4).  Come prepared and ready for fun!
