I apologize if you get multiple copies of this message, but until we get
everyone signed up for the new mailing list, I'm using all the addresses I
have.
Please keep our brother Lon in your prayers as he undergoes cancer surgery
tomorrow (Feb 16th). Lon's original message regarding this surgery, and
steps beyond, is copied below. If you're so inclined, take a moment now to
pray as one:
Heavenly Father, Lon has demonstrated to all of us his faith in You, and has
shown that through his invitation and acceptance of Jesus Christ as his
Savior, that the Holy Spirit now fills his heart and soul. Father, You are
in control. We pray that You envelope Lon with Your love and caring, and
that You give Dr. Munson and his team the wisdom and skills to perform this
delicate operation with success to begin Lon's path to recovery. Sustain
Lon through Your grace Father that his strength and courage may not falter.
We pray Father, that You heal Lon according to Your will. We ask this
through Your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
We love you Lon and are with you through our prayers and our thoughts.
Your brothers in Christ.

Glorifying God by following His commands in Discipling, Developing, and
Deploying men into service of family, church, and community.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Dear Family & Friends,
After three in-depth opinions, lots of study, and prayer, we chose as
my surgeon Dr. John Monson, chief of colo-rectal surgery for the Wilmot
Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital. Surgery is planned for Monday,
February 16. I'll have a temporary illeostomy (a "bag," which I hope
matches my shoes:-))- reversal in 3 - 6 months - and further chemo based on
the pathology of the tumor and surrounding lymph nodes that he removes.
Dr. Ramon Qazi, medicinal (chemo)oncologist at Strong and Highland
Hospitals, is now my case manager, a man we have worked with since last
September, admire and trust. He will guide my cure for at least the next
five years.
So here we go - with God's help!
Your continued prayers and support would be deeply appreciated.
Love, Lon
